OK, so here are his opening remarks and I will quote all his comments in italics:
"You mention that the operation of forgiveness through the blood of Christ (based upon your understanding of Scripture) is given: past, present, and future. Just to clarify, are you stating that forgiveness of sins is given to the Believer (past, present, and future)?"
Straight away, in this opening remarks, we can see signs of his errors, his arrogance and his religious credentials. All men of the Christian Religion are like this and make these same mistakes. He makes the fatal misjudgment of accusing me of leaning on my own understanding of the Holy Scriptures, and that, to me, is a declaration of war, upon me, as a Spirit Born son of God. Moving on, since when did the Lord's forgiveness of sins become an operation? Are we talking about some kind of a production line here or surgery perhaps? There is the act of forgiveness which takes place at Baptism after our confession and that's it, there is no operation and you won't find his silly word in the Holy Scriptures either, for it's a Christian Religious word - meaningless.
Let me make this plain, for I intend only to state it once, so mark, learn and inwardly digest it: The Lord Jesus Christ took ALL of mankind's sins with Him to the cross. Not just ALL the sins of those the Father is calling to His Son - the saints, but even ALL the sins of the lost and unsaved. Now what part of the word ALL does this mind numbingly silly blind man not understand?
"If you answer yes to my question, I strongly disagree, because Scripture instructs us contrariwise."
The first thought that comes to mind here is: Who cares whether he agrees or not, for he is not qualified to hold any opinion on the subject of salvation whatsoever! The thing is, do the Holy Scriptures instruct us contrariwise or not? No. So where is he getting his ideas from, apart from the Devil? Well, first of all, he misuses a Holy Scripture out of Romans 3.
Romans 3:25 God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past through the forbearance of God"
Now we can see what he is trying to imply here with this Holy Scripture i.e. that forgiveness is only for past sins, so this means, according to this blasphemer, that the Lord only took mankind's past sins with Him to the cross and left all present and future sins outstanding and unaccounted for. Can you believe this garbage? You see, if the Lord did only deal with past sins when do these dogs think He will deal with all the other sins!!?? As is usual, with counterfeiters like our Mr Rumbled, he completely misses the point and fails to use the Holy Scriptures that precede the one above, so I will copy them here, for your information:
Romans 3:22-24 The righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
OK, so here we can plainly see that the righteousness (justice) of God which is by the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ unto all (did you see that word?), i.e. upon all those who believe, (Jew or Gentile) so the word all seems to mean all, well there's a surprise? Now if we're still a little bit unsure of what's going on here, the Holy Scriptures then tell us all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God. Yet those who do believe are justified freely by His grace. What does this mean? Surely it doesn't mean that being justified under His grace we are no longer under condemnation? Well I'm afraid for Mr Rumbled and his pathetic belief system that it does mean we are no longer under condemnation. Notice, too, justified under grace, not just justified - period. So what does that tell us? It tells us that even though we are justified we still need grace. Why? Easy, because we are in need of grace in order to remain justified, so by default, that must mean we occasionally sin. If we don't sin then there would be no need for grace. It's as simple as that folks, so why can't our Mr Rumbled see it? 1) Because he doesn't want to see it and 2) because if he could see it his religious house of cards, 'salvation by works' world would come crashing down around his ears.
From my page on Mr Night the Baptist Minister you will have begun to learn that mainstream Christianity is full of blasphemers and deluded men of error. I say full of blasphemers because Mr Night is just the tip of the iceberg, he is a type or a sample and/or prime example of all the others who follow him or who are of his ilk i.e. Mr Rumbled. It's just that Mr Night happened to be the first one to come down the road looking for trouble and found it when he bumped into me. You would be well advised to believe me, for I speak for what is written in the Holy Scriptures, when I say there are thousands behind Messrs Night and Rumbled all believing the same non-gospel rubbish. The only difference being that the Devil dresses their message up in varied apparel. He does this in a pathetic attempt to make it look as if it's new and different, and of course fails miserably, because there is no fundamental difference in their messages at all. They all teach the same thing - SALVATION BY WORKS, so don't be deceived by them. So let's have a look at what version our rumbled mainstream Christian blasphemer is using?
Well he, like Mr Night, came down the road full of swagger and bravado in answer to my article entitled: 1 John 1 - Chapter 1 of John's Letter Explained Which I recommend to you now to give you the background to our discussion; needless-to-say his 'contribution' to the intercourse was far greater than mine, but then religious pontificators usually do have a lot to say for themselves, but unfortunately, none of it is of any value to man or beast.
He then moves on to counter a tiny detail from my article just to prove to us his Pharisaical, gnat straining credentials are alive and kicking. He does that by saying this:
"Your comment about 1 John 1 :7 of the word 'in' is not correct. This translation is absolutely imperative to convey the message to both unbelievers and Believer's alike. Please allow me to explain:"
My comment about the word 'in' was spot on and what this blasphemer had done here was ignore completely what I had written previously about the first chapter of John's epistle i.e. that it was a declaration of new news to those listening. 1 John 1 is addressed to non believers, those new to the faith, so what he is doing is telling me that black is white. How's that for foolishness? He then tries to convince me of his nonsense using this pathetic and erroneous analogy. First though, here is the verse in question:
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
"Imagine a room. There are two doors at opposite ends of the room, one for entering, and another for exiting. Inside the room represents being in Christ (light)."
Straight away we have an error with the use of this room for we enter nothing and especially not anything that would enclose us or imprison us for we are now free. The Lord via the Holy Spirit enters us and it is this 'entering' that then gives us the ability to walk in The Light, for The Light is now in us. OK he does say we are in Christ, which is correct, but he has still failed to tell us that the Lord Jesus Christ is in us via the Holy Spirit.
John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
Here in John 14:20 we can see that what I am saying is The Truth. In Mr Rumbled's analogy all we will see is what I call externalism, and it's this externalising that forms the core of mainstream Christianity's errors and thereby their false beliefs and I will be returning to this phenomena later.
"Everything outside the room represents being in sin (darkness). As a person walks to the door (enter) and opens the door and walks into the room, they have done two things immediately by walking into the room. One, they walked out of darkness, and two, they walked into the light."
We need to understand, too, that within this analogy Mr Rumbled is attempting to describe Baptism and the receiving of the Holy Spirit. Whether he realises it or not I do not know. Notice, he says that by walking into the room they have done two things: Walked out of darkness and into The Light, but what his analogy fails to do is explain just how we do that, and what's involved, and he also fails to explain, fully, what walking into The Light actually is or what it means. Now this is because he does not know. When we are Born Again the Light enters us, for the Lord Jesus Christ is The Light - this is how it works and we in effect do nothing until our spirit enjoins His Spirit and The Light shines. Where the error occurs in 1 John 1: 7 is where it says, and I quote: "But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light." The Lord Jesus Christ doesn't walk in the light, He is The Light. This is why I said that the word 'in' was poor translation. In fact I would put it to you that the word 'in' here is a corruption and to prove it:
2 Corinthians 4:4 Whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
John says, "This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare to you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all" (1 John 1:5). When a person comes to Christ (through confession of their sins), they immediately have come out of darkness and are now walking in the light (Light of Christ).
Here he quotes the verse that states that John was making a declaration. Only new news is declared, not old news, so these recipients of this message were new to it, they had not heard it before - they were potential new converts. Then he says: "When a person comes to Christ." So what's wrong with that I hear you say? Much is wrong with it, no one comes to Christ, they are called by the Father to the Son. To say 'comes to Christ' sounds as if we're coming of our own will and choice, and that is a lie, as this Holy Scripture proves:
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
"Since we have a free-will, we can choose whether or not to stay in the room, thus, the exiting door."
Here he confirms what I said by stating that we have free will when we do not. We do not have fee will until we are Born Again. Please see my articles on free will via the link below. The thing is, this issue of exiting the room can only mean one thing if our Mr Rumbled knows what he is talking about, but, of course, he doesn't. So just for your information, exiting the room can only mean turning our backs on the Lord Jesus Christ and walking away. That is what it means and that is all it can mean, but rest assured our guest blasphemer will have other ideas and mercifully that's all they are - his foolish ideas. Charles Crosby, Author at Ezine Articles
"The Bible instructs us (as you also made mention of) the biggest word in the world is 'if'. Verse 7 instructs there is a condition that we must do if we are to have true fellowship with one another and for Christ' blood to cleanse us from all sin, which is we must 'walk IN the light as He is IN the light'. We need to walk like Jesus walked."
Now here in this little paragraph you will see his Spiritual blindness and some of the worst of his blasphemies. You will also see his ignorance regarding the difference between discipleship and being Born Again. I have discovered, too, over the years, that mainstream Christianity, in general, has no grasp of this Spiritual reality. They believe in permanent discipleship and our Baptism is a mere facade or a little event to sign us up to their denomination and then the discipleship continues on forever thereafter. This is bondage and slavery on a grand scale, folks, and you need to set yourselves free from it as soon as possible. OK back to our blasphemer who says that there is a "condition that we must do." Now what is this 'condition' and to whom does it apply, for he does not say? So here we can see how poor his analogy is. I will therefore tell you what the condition is - it's repentance and when does repentance occur? Why, in the process that leads to Baptism; that's where, and let me tell you straight, if our repentance is not genuine at this point in time we are nothing but frauds. The issue here though is something else entirely for this 'condition' from Mr Rumbled's view point is binding on all, whether disciples or Born Again and thereby making it a Law statement or legalistic. This view point is the foundation of the 'salvation by works' non-gospel and it starts right here. Notice his final remark: "We need to walk like Jesus walked." This is a self-help do-it-yourself statement, in other words we need to walk like the Lord Jesus Christ through our own efforts. This is what they used to do in Old Covenant times and when they failed they would slaughter an animal and let the blood flow onto the ground in order to cover their failings. Mr Rumbled's mindset is the same as theirs only they had every right to think that way because that was their only hope of forgiveness. So where does that leave our blasphemer? I'll tell you, hearing these words from the Lord Jesus Christ "Depart from me ye who work iniquity, for I never knew you."
"I am not saying that we can be like the Son of God, but we can be like Jesus, the Son of Man, who was our example of how we need to walk as we live in this fleshly body of ours. As you know, the Bible says, "For even hereto were you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: WHO DID NO SIN, NEITHER WAS GUILE FOUND IN HIS MOUTH" (1 Peter 2: 21-22). We must stop sinning!"
And the blasphemies just keep on coming, folks, and none more so with his opening remark of this section. "I am not saying that we can be like the Son of God, but we can be like Jesus, the Son of Man." This I find astounding, and I find it astounding because of the the inbuilt Biblical ignorance involved in this remark. He doesn't even know about sonship or how when we are Born Again we literally become sons of God:
John 1:12 But as many as received him (Should read: "As many as He receives"), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
Who wants to be a son of man when we can be sons of God and, oh yes, we can most definitely be like Him for we have His mind:
1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
We must stop sinning he says, but what he doesn't understand is that we stop sinning the moment we are Baptised. At that very moment in time we are Born Anew as new men and the new man does not sin and cannot sin for he is Born of God. This new man, though, has to reside in our old bodies, our old bodies of sin that occasionally sin, and there is no escaping these bodies of sin until we die - it's impossible.
"We are either in the room or out of the room. As you very well understand, light and dark cannot coexist in the same room at the same time, ever! Therefore, if we are still sinning (as a so called Born Again, committing the deeds of the flesh) Christ is not in us, because "His seed remains in him (Believer): and he (Believer) cannot sin, because he (Believer) is born of God" (1Jn. 3:9). You might say then, we left Christ, He didn't leave us, and Jesus said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Jesus said, "Abide in me, and I in you".....(Jn. 15: 4-5). We are to live in the same room with Him at the same time. If we give into sin, we just left the room through the exiting door! Christ is now no longer in us. And if not in us, then we are out of Him. This is why it is so important for us to remain (abide) in Him and He in us."
OK, we're nearly done with his nonsense and we now move into self-contradictory mode, something that mainstream Christians are very good at. What he tells us, is that although the Lord promised He would never leave nor forsake us - period, Mr Rumbled thinks that the Lord's promise should have a clause or two in it just to give it that good old, Old Covenant conditional flavour - as you would. I mean, let's face it, we can't have it tasting too much of grace can we, that will never do!!?? First, he states that we're either in the room or out of the room, but what is his criteria for being in or out of this room? Is it the fact that we are either Born Again or not Born Again? Oh no, nothing as simple as that, it's whether or not we are sinning or not sinning that determines whether or not we are in his accursed room. I wonder if his criteria also includes sinful thoughts? If we cannot sin as Born Again sons of God how can sin be an issue for anything, let alone being in or out of his stupid room?
"As you very well understand, light and dark cannot coexist in the same room at the same time, ever!"
Now it's funny he should say this, because the Lord through Paul says something completely different. You see, what he is really saying is this; he has found some incredible way of separating himself from his body of sin, that sins. He can do something that even the apostle Paul could not do, how amazing is that?
Romans 7:14-15 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Here Paul lets us into a little secret. The things he hates to do are the things he actually does and the things he would like to do are the things he doesn't do. That's sounds very human doesn't it?
Romans 7:16-18 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Here he tells us quite plainly that the things he would rather not do are the very things that reveal to him that the Law is good, but notice what he says next: "It is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me." What is Paul saying here, is he saying that he's now two people? I reckon! For he's saying next that in his flesh dwelleth no good thing and that he finds nothing in the way of of his own will to change it. So what he is telling us is this: we do not possess the power to change ourselves - it's totally impossible and yet that is mainstream Christianity's principle message. This is what they teach i.e. the over coming of sin by their own strength.
Romans 7:19-22 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man.
Here Paul restates what he he said earlier to help us understand and make us realise we had not read something weird. Notice, he says "Now if I do that I would not it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. He is definitely talking about two entities here, a new entity that no longer sins, but at the same time his body wherein sin dwells. There is no escaping the reality of the two natures Paul is describing here. Now, how does this sit with our blasphemer's room where he tells us with much bluster that, and I quote "As you very well understand, light and dark cannot coexist in the same room at the same time, ever!" Well it looks like Paul says otherwise Mr Rumbled, for he saying that light lives in a body of sin that sins.
As a final point I will add this: Our bodies died in the watery grave so in effect this put paid to any power that our bodies of sin may have had. Our new Spirit born men have all the power so sin should not cause us any serious problems, if we are led by the Spirit, but we have to allow the Spirit to lead. As long as we are in these physical bodies we will always be tempted to sin and at times, will sin, but if we dust ourselves down and start again and just learn from that mistake His grace is always sufficient. Always remember, though, it's not us doing the overcoming but rather the Lord in us through His Spirit so we cannot boast, but we must let Him do the overcoming. If we try, we will always fail so stand back and let the Lord take control - let go and let Him.

Please let me make this very clear, for I am only going to say it once here on my web page. The only thing that L Ray Smith and I have in common is one thing and one thing only, we were both members of Herbert W Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God and that's it - period. Whatever else we may or may not have in common is pure coincidence, nothing else. I am not a student of his and nor do I agree with the main elements or core issues of his teachings, for like the teaching of mainstream Christians, they are also blasphemous and evil. In fact L Ray Smith and mainstream Christians have more in common than they realise.
So what is wrong with Mr Smith's teaching? Quite simply, it's very much like Armstrong's teaching in as much that it is totally "salvation by works" based or salvation by self help and effort. This is basically what he believes and then endeavours to brainwash his disciples with, and make no mistake he does have a following, just like Armstrong. Not as many as Armstrong, obviously, but it is growing. I, on the other hand, have no following and nor do I want one, for it is The Lord that should have the following, not me. I work for Him; I do not work for myself. So even on this topic alone I am not the least bit like Mr L Ray Smith. So why is it I am associated with him? Easy, he and I both expose the myth of man and his freewill. Our teaching is similar in one or two other areas, as well, but as I said, that is pure coincidence. Mr Smith is a head knowledge Bible 'expert'. He is very diligent in his studies, but like so many more in this evil world/age, lacks the Holy Spiritual dimension and because of that he looses his way and preaches satanic lies.
However, I have digressed here somewhat for in my earlier question I asked this: What is wrong with L Ray's teaching? Now I know that I said that it's "salvation by works" in nature but it's not "salvation by works" as most people know it, nor is it "salvation by works" as in the mainstream Christian kind, it is somewhat different. What he teaches is that Born Again sons and daughters of God are not truly saved until the resurrection. They are, horror of horrors, working or improving themselves and over coming trials in this life in order to be 'good enough' to be resurrected when The Lord returns. He says it is the hardest thing in the world to be saved. How blasphemous and evil can you get? Not much is the answer to that one, apart from the teachings of mainstream Christians of course.
So how does he come to this wickedly evil conclusion? Again that's easy, because what he does is he takes a Holy Scripture as in:….
Matt 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
…..and teaches it as meaning that if you don't endure to the end you will not be saved. Now is this true, because if we keep to his line of thinking, we must then conclude that we can lose our salvation. So I will ask again; is this true? Now in order to answer this 64 zillion dollar question we must first be aware of the tense and the time in which The Lord lived. Any act of salvation or the event of any man being saved was always going to be future - a future event and that is why when we look at the Greek rendering for 'saved' we find that the Greek word sozo is a future passive tense word, but future when? Why, after The Lord's resurrection and His ascension into heaven. No one was saved or Born Again until then. No one was saved whilst The Lord walked this earth. The Father called the Learners to His Son in order for them to become future Born Again Messengers (Apostles). Now from the Greek:
"And ye shall be being-hated by all through (because of) the name of-me the-one yet under-remaining into finish this-one shall-be-being-saved."
The problem here is that L Ray Smith thinks this future event of "shall be being saved" applies only to the resurrection of the dead when The Lord returns to this earth. Now this is a heinous blasphemy of blasphemies.
However, we are still left with a conundrum here, because if it's a case of "if we don't endure to the end" then what happened to "once saved always saved?" Is our salvation assured by The Lord or is it all down to us, as the blaspheming dogs of mainstream Christianity would have us believe, if they got half a chance, that is? If we are called and chosen then The Lord is going to make sure that we do not fail - isn't He?
Eph 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be Holy and without blame before Him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.
Notice those two magnificent words at the end of these very encouraging three verses HIS WILL!! Not our will or Mickey Mouse's will or even the nonexistent will of mainstream Christians - it's HIS WILL.
Now if any of you are still unsure about all this The Lord takes the trouble to tell us again in Ephesians knowing how slow some people are to learn:
Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will:
Mr Strong in his concordance tells us that this word WILL is translated from the Greek word thelema which means determination. Not our puny determination, but rather The Lord's all powerful determination. So dear people if The Lord's determination is involved are we going to fail? Yes, if you are mainstream Christian because they are working out their own salvation, literally, and that is because they do not understand Philippians 2:12 either. However that's a topic for another day. So what do we now have? We have one Holy Scripture that appears to be saying that unless we endure to the end we shall not be saved and then others that look as if they are contradicting it, so what's going on?
Well, as I always say, there are no contradictions in the Holy Word of God but there are plenty of blasphemous contaminations therein. So let's analyse this verse from Matthew's gospel more closely because this verse is the weakest link in this whole business and here it is again:
Matt 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
"And ye shall be being-hated by all through (because of) the name of-me the-one yet under-remaining into finish this-one shall-be, being-saved."
Now as we read this translation straight from the Greek it begins to look and sound slightly different from the KJV and if we add a slight emphasis on "this one shall be", and a comma after shall be we then change the meaning of this verse entirely and this is what we get. Always remember, too, that the Greek did not have any punctuation, so punctuation was always left in the hands of the translators. Ah and now we can see how the plot thickens!
"And ye shall be being hated by all through (because of) the name of me the-one, yet under-remaining into finish will be the one who is already saved."
Now have I corrupted this verse by doing this or have I alleviated a supposed contradiction as shown elsewhere in God's Holy Word? I say this because as I have already shown that left as it is, this verse does cause a contradiction, so for good measure here is another verse that opposes it in its KJV form:
Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
There it is: By grace are ye saved - period, no conditions or caveats, clauses or small print to trip us up; unless you listen to mainstream Christians that is, for they have conditions by the bucket load i.e. their 'buts' and their 'yets', and all there waiting to make your life a misery and your yoke like a mill stone breaking your back, so do not listen to these diabolical spiritual illegitimates.
OK, so to sum up, let's be clear about this very important issue, the only people that are going to endure to the end are those that are already saved and have the Power of God - the Holy Spirit residing in them. No one else is going to survive, nor endure, for it would be impossible for them to do so, especially if we are talking The Tribulation, for multitudes will die of fear alone such will be the severity of it. So pray that The Lord will give you a way of escape as He did True Believers in 70 AD when the Romans laid siege to and destroyed Jerusalem.
Be encouraged, too, by these verses:
Rev 12:13-16 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
As a final point just realise that 'salvation by works' is 'salvation by works' and it's always the same - us supposedly earning our salvation or trying to keep the Commandments externally in some way. These so and so's, i.e. L Ray Smith and all wretched mainstream Christians will deceive you if you let them, so don't let them, just reject the blasphemous crap that they speak and publish and you will be OK. Always remember, too, your salvation is in The Lord's hands not your hands, through your works, your works earn you rewards stored in heaven, that's all.
